What is Easyfundraising?

Do you ever shop online for things like this?

  • Books, CDs, DVDs, plus DVD rental
  • Sheet music
  • Toys, games and gadgets
  • Insurance (home, motor, pet, student…) and other financial products
  • Stationery, office products, printer cartridges
  • Fashion (women’s, men’s, kids’, everyone’s…)
  • Holiday breaks, flights, hotels, camping and cottage/gîte rental
  • Food, wine and nibbles from both specialists and supermarkets
  • Mobile phones and broadband services … etc.

You do? Well through an organisation called easyfundraising.org.uk, a range of everyday retailers and suppliers of goods and services like Amazon, ebay, M&S, NEXT, Debenhams, etc. will donate to us if you spend your money on their sites by going through easyfundraising.org.uk first, and the great thing is you don’t pay a penny more than you would have anyway! Simple!

What’s an RSS feed?

How do I join?

  1. Go to easyfundraising.org.uk and you’ll be directed to a free registration page.
  2. Fill in your details and add a password.
  3. Then choose if you want to GiftAid your contribution.
Gift Aid is operated by the Government and allows charities to claim the basic rate of tax (25%) on every pound donated. This means that if you’re a UK tax payer, every £1 you raise with easyfundraising is actually worth £1.25 for your cause. If you are a UK taxpayer, you can help claim 25% extra on each donation via Gift Aid – at no extra cost.
  4. You can then choose to be reminded to use easyfundraising.org.uk whenever you shop by downloading a small application onto your computer. It is entirely up to you if you wish to download the application, and it is not a requirement of using easyfundraising.
  5. Continue through the last screens and you will end up on the easyfundraising.org.uk search page.
  6. Type in the name of a retailer and you will be directed to their web site. You’ll need to do this every time in order to generate a commission. These are the ‘normal’ sites with exactly the same goods and prices as if you had navigated there direct.
  7. After you make a purchase, FSYO will be paid a commission, which can be somewhere between 2% and 10% of the purchase price, or occasionally a fixed amount. To earn the commission however, you must access the retail site each time through one of the links given.
  8. Handy Tip! Add the easyfundraising.org.uk page to your Favourites so you can find it quickly whenever you go shopping online and use it instead of your normal browser.
  9. That’s it! Thank you so much for helping to donate to FSYO. This simple act can help us to support so many young musicians in Southampton!
